One of my best friends, who is very pretty and normal, had never had a boyfriend until after she graduated…and she got married to a great guy when she was 27..so, proof that being 22 and not having dated someone seriously DOES NOT mean that hope is lost!

My first serious relationship began when I was 29. A couple years ago I was in a relationship with a 27 year old woman who (at the one month mark) mentioned that our relationship was the longest that she’d ever been in. Neither relationship had problems due to “lack of experience.”
While I wouldn’t seek out a relationship with someone BECAUSE they lacked experience, I wouldn’t avoid or end a relationship for that reason.

22 isn’t so bad, I’m 28 and have never had a girlfriend! (and didn’t have my first kiss until 27 [date 4] - aaand three days later she called me and said “hey _ you’re f-n awesome, but I can’t date you.” What gives?
lacking experience at this stage of the game -is- a bit of a hindrance: it’s a little awkward to think “what am I supposed to do and how am I supposed to do it?” when you know that you’re expected to know what you’re doing already. But on the bright side, you’re guaranteed to be STD free, and have no Junior running around to complicate things!!
so, those of us in the dugout of the dating game just have to keep swinging. Of course any sage advice for an attractive, athletic, intellectual guy with no dating skills would be appreciated!
