I’ve always thought about that too but my thinking was to put it mildly -”having the cow for free”. why bother commiting to a marriage if you don’t have to think about it since you are already living togheter? my fiancee’s friend’s brother lived with his fiancee for TEN YEARS and followed her to germany and bought a place with her but didnt propose to her until his dad died….
