PURE.
Author Rebbecca Ray -- a sensation in Britain -- was the same age as Brad's crush when she left school to write this novel. Actually, its even younger protagonist could use a nice guy (her own age) to look out for her.

THE UNBURDENED HEART. "Rage" is the rage, but forgiveness reigns divine, according to author (and oxygen.com writer) Mariah Burton Nelson. Follow her collection of ancient wisdom and new research — not to mention her own account of forgiving sexual abuse -- down that path. But if you still want to bear a grudge gracefully, click here.

FRANKIE B. JEANS. They're not on the rise, but I'm not saying they're not popular. These new pants -- show me these hip-"huggers" and I'll show you a limp handshake -- lay bare the other decolletage, formely that elite plumbers-only province. Finally, a trend that could make the thong obsolete.

THE ELEGANT UNIVERSE. This geek's got game: author/Columbia physicist/hottie Brian Greene is causing exothermic reactions everywhere he goes. He also played himself in the film Frequency and auditioned to host the NOVA series based on this book. His thing: string theory -- the hypothesis that "dancing filaments of energy" form the basis of all matter. Including, I hope, our first date.

BOUCHER. So Amy and I went last-ditch celebrity-trolling at Pastis. Having found only disagreement over whether or not a certain patron was in fact Liev Shreiber, I consoled myself at the shop next door with an excellent little beady necklace. Gregoire, hurry up and have another contest so I can get me some earrings!
