Dear Breakup Girl,

I am in a huge dilemma. I love my boyfriend to bits but there is one thing that's sure to break us up. He wears the most cheap and common-looking sovereign ring on his right hand. I just do not know what to do. Subtle hints do not seem to have any effect at all and me telling him how common it looks sends him into hysterics or he calls me stuck up. What shall I do? I do not want to split up with him but I am totally losing my street cred having a boyfriend who wears a sovereign. Please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!
