SHOW ME THE SHOUT-OUT From Po'Girl: This is for Amy,whose boyfriend can't think past "she's not paying enough of her way" to see what a strain on her income all this going out is. True, you should resist cash-drain situations if possible, but I know how tough it is to always be the party pooper 'cuz your income doesn't allow you to do and go and be with your (significantly richer) man. So me an' my man came up with a perfect solution to all that uncomfortable "who picks up the check" stuff. Percentages. We totalled our income and figured out what percentage of it was his, what was mine. So now, anytime we go out, he pays 70 percent of the check, movie tix, drinks, whatever, I pay 30 percent, EVERYONE IS HAPPY! And every once in a while he'll take me out on a date and pay for the whole thing. It's been a lifesaver to my income and my nerves let me tell you. Give it a try!
