  1. Aw, crap! You CAN’T start my Monday morning off with a lump in my throat! Great arc, very realistic, but still, BOO HOO!

  2. Aw!!

Very sad ending, but very true message.

  3. Wow guys — amazing. I totally teared up! So sad and totally hits home!

  4. “No one is too busy for a relationship that they want.”

    Likewise,

“No one lets others (their ex-girlfriend, their boss, their mom, their friends) get in the way of a relationship that they want.”

Wow… homerun hit to my head. He really didn’t want me… us…

  5. How sad! Not the way I expected a Monday comic to go - but BG Girl is completely right. *sniff* This one really hit home because I just had an experience like this recently…

  9. I lead a rather busy life, and the same is true of my last three girlfriends.

Despite this, I’ll back up what Breakup Girl said. If she’s important to you, you’ll make the time. And if you’re important to her, she’ll make the time as well.

Coordinating two busy schedules isn’t easy. One solution that worked well in a couple relationships was “date night”. One night a week was set aside to spend together. If something came up, date night could be rescheduled to a different night … but it was never cancelled.

In some ways, it’s less stressful on the relationship if both people are equally busy. It may be more difficult to find mutually available time, but neither person is spending evening after evening at home upset that the other person doesn’t have much time.

  10. I’d buy printed comic book versions of these. Consistently witty and pertinent.

And I’m not just saying that because I dated LH once and totally failed to make an impression.

  11. Yeah, I sent just the first pane to someone very intuitive who essentially sends me the same message in that his words and actions just don’t ever match up. You can’t say “I really want to see you” for two weeks when you live less than a half hour away.
