LOVE that you are back! Missed you tons, BG & Chris!
Gotta say that I’m a bit disappointed in this comic. Why? Because the “happy ending” is that Single Man isn’t single anymore. On the heels of the Gottlieb article, it’s not great support for those of us who like being single and who aren’t anxious to reproduce. You are usually so pro-individual (whatever an individual might desire), but I’m feeling a little left out. ‘Course, you do write about *relationships* so maybe I should just get over it. =)
Great comment, Amy! Breakup Girl will always support single people and being single as a choice. Though Ash could be considered one of those people, that’s not exactly the theme we chose for the story. We wrote it (before running Lori’s piece) as a fable about the palpable divide between marrieds and unmarrieds, with Breakup Girl trying to bring those two sides together. The ending is only meant to reflect a real life irony: We complain about our most annoying and/or absent married friends, but eventually we might become one of them (if we so choose)!
But who’s to say The Last Single Man on Earth will relinquish his self-fulfilling moniker so easily? Much like the EVIL DEAD franchise that inspired it, I can imagine a SEQUEL — with just the pro-singles message you’re looking for.

Just gotta say that I loved the props to Bruce Campbell. And, while no it doesn’t seem to say that single people can be happy, it does end up being a nice piece of dramatic irony.
as well as being a morebein whish is all a male can be with all the pressure of being a”REAL MAN” no one questions women being real weemen, having turned down more swinging females than JFK MLK or RFK did, granted that would only have to be one , or more, women now are being not gay for a day per day playing to tre male fantscy of loving his other half woman half but it will only lead to deeper ditrust and infidelity if women can sleep with otehr than so can the men will be the rational women only seem to want ba money and worse sex anytrhing bad and taboo
