I was just wondering when is too much sex, too much? I haven’t heard this phrase used a lot, and can you really want or desire sex too much or is it more sexual incompatibility. Are there really a lot of people who actually suffer from this? Someone confused on this issue, lol lol I know can you believe it I am confused about something….
Tonya: It’s true, a lot of things get called “addiction” these days w/out our really knowing what that means. Sexual addiction is not yet listed in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM) of the American Psychiatric Association, but that doesn’t mean that experts haven’t seen, in practice, what would be certain identifying behaviors. I don’t doubt that some people have impulse control issues, and that sometimes those issues manifest in their sexual behavior.
It seems, however, that a lot of celebrities claim to be sex addicts when they’re caught straying. I suspect that some of these may be spin control.
